All change at Impact Group
Impact was acquired by HCT Group in August 2018 and since then, we have been working hard to settle in to the organisation. This has involved a close look at what we do and how Impact can best complement the work of the wider HCT Group in the London area.
As a result of this review, we have developed a plan to integrate Impact into the HCT Group’s operations. Our approach has three main strands
A focus on our core business. Impact has a strong track record in providing regular school, SEN, adult social care and corporate contracts. We will focus on growing these areas of work, integrating them into the Group's broader London operation as they directly complement what the Group does in other parts of the capital.
An end to private coach hire. Impact has been a long established name in the West London coach scene, however, the market conditions for these services remain very challenging, particularly with new regulation on the horizon. As a consequence we will no longer provide coach hire from 1st January 2019. All existing bookings will be honoured.
Under the HCT Group banner. The move away from private hire in Perivale and the HCT Group’s existing strength in the London contract market means that there is no real reason to keep the Impact brand. From January 1st all services provided by Impact will come directly under the HCT Group banner.
These changes will all be possible without job losses to both frontline driving and office staff. We will, however, be saying farewell to Andy Palmer, Operations Director for Impact. Andy has worked hard to ensure a smooth transition from the previous ownership into the HCT Group era and he leaves with our thanks and very best wishes.
HCT Group strongly believes that, with the new approach in place, our Perivale and Croydon operation will be in a position to go from strength to strength.
